She is a surfer, especially known as a survivor of a shark attack, in which she lost her left arm at the age of 13, and for successfully overcoming that serious injury, to the point of returning to surfing and winning various competitions.Hamilton was born in Hawaii on February 8, 1990. His parents are Tom and Cheri Hamilton. He has two older brothers, Noah and Timothy. They taught her to surf since she was four years old. where in April 2013, she got engaged to Adam Dirks. They were married on Kauai on August 18, 2013. On June 1, 2015, Bethany Hamilton and Adam Dirks became parents to their first child, Tobias Dirks Hamilton.
